Muckhart Village from Seamab

New bus service between Kinross and Tillicoultry

220110 202 Timetable

Good news about a replacement bus service for Muckhart and other villages affected by the suspension of the x53. Muckhart Community Council is very grateful to all those who worked hard to achieve this positive outcome. True the service is a trial (see below) but hopefully the number of people using the service will increase with the introduction of the young person concession from end January and perhaps an uplift in people using the bus in order to secure a service future. The link to the timetable is attached.

Service 202

Bay Travel will commence operation of Service 202 between Kinross and Tillicoultry (via Crook of Devon, Rumbling Bridge and Pool of Muckhart) under contract to Perth & Kinross Council, as from Monday, 10 January 2022.  Service 202 will operate off peak, during the day between 0840 and 1438 hrs, Monday – Saturday, providing five return between Kinross and Tillicoultry, allowing for connections at Tillicoultry for onward travel to Stirling.

This is a trial timetable which will initially operate until 31 March 2022 during which time passenger usage and feedback will be reviewed as a means of assessing demand for public transport on this corridor, and inform future planning.
